Improve Balance and Stability

Balance is trainable, but it improves through specific practice rather than walking alone. This playbook combines a safe supported baseline, a ten-minute balance circuit, functional leg strength and a conservative progression rule. It is especially relevant with age, after inactivity or when confidence on stairs and uneven ground has declined.

How I use this playbook

Balance practice should feel challenging but recoverable. The presence of a stable support is good training design, not a sign that the exercise is too easy.

Notes and safety: New dizziness, fainting, sudden weakness, repeated falls, neurological symptoms or a significant decline in balance require medical assessment. People at high fall risk should train with qualified supervision.
